This ten year report covers the years 2010 and 2020, when RCSD focused its interest on regional integration processes in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), in particular social transformation processes that were taking place as a broad framework of regional connectivity took hold across Southeast Asia. In this context, special attention has been paid to processes of economic integration and the dynamics of the One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative, a development agenda adopted by the Chinese government to facilitate commerce and connections between Eurasian countries. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of the processes of regionalization, economic integration and the development of large-scale infrastructure on local people and the environment, RCSD has directed its interest on key issues facing the GMS, including land governance, transboundary resource management, exploitation of nature and cross-border mobility.
