Yunnan University’s School of Ethnology and Sociology for the third time hosted RCSD and Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Social Sciences from 22-24 November 2024 for the final writing workshop of the Sino-Thai Summer School. Yunnan University students conducted fieldwork across ethnic communities throughout Northern Thailand in August of this year, and this year for the first time four Chiang Mai University Social Sciences undergraduate students travelled to Kunming along with writing mentors to join their Yunnan University student fieldwork partners and collaborators to finalize their paper writing process: drafting, conceptualizing, presenting, and revising.
The final papers from both Yunnan and Chiang Mai University students will be published in an upcoming collection, soon to be available from RCSD in collaboration with Yunnan University’s School of Ethnology and Sociology.
