Mrinalini Rai is a women’s rights and environmental rights advocate and Director of Women4Biodiversity. She works on policy advocacy and research on intersection of gender equality and women and girls rights and environmental justice. She has been working many years in environmental governance and human rights issues, particular focused on integrating indigenous peoples’ and local communities’ rights, including women’s rights into the decisions of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Mrinalini also serves as the co-convenor of the CBD’s Women and Gender Caucus, which support the participation and engagement of women’s rights advocates into biodiversity and environment related process
