Praween Van Rysselberge is a Doctoral Researcher in the International Development Studies P.h.D. Program (GRID) at Chulalongkorn University. His research interests lie in the study of misinformation and how this impacts development processes, with a focus on modernization through social media cooperation and how it affects cooperation in Southeast Asia and beyond. Praween has a wide range of working experience; he has interned at the Mekong Institute exploring and contributing towards the awareness of local knowledge (Tai Baan research) and has also experience working for the US Consulate General in Chiang Mai as a political intern prior to starting his PhD. Praween completed an MA in Development Studies at Chiang Mai University and a BA in Social Science at Chiang Mai University.
