Sai Kham Phu is a native of Keng Tung, Shan State, Myanmar. After graduating from the M.A. in Development Studies, he worked with the INGO ADRA-Thailand. In 2019, he returned to his home country, Myanmar, to work with SHAN as a research manager. His currently working in a 4-year research project (2018-2021), a collaboration between SHAN and SOAS, University of London. This projects centers on armed conflicts, illicit drug economy and drugs use among Shan youth.
