RCSD annually grants 1-2 scholarships for qualified candidates applying for M.A in Social Science (Sustainable Development). Two kinds of scholarships, full and partial ones, will be granted to qualified applicants from countries in the Mekong Region namely Thailand, Lao, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and China. Full scholarship will covers tuition fee, day-to-day expenses, air ticket and field expense while partial scholarships will be tuition waiver or tuition exemption. Due to limited number of scholarships and very competitive environment, RCSD encourages applicants to secure funding from other sources.

With support from the Ford Foundation, RCSD grants 1-2 scholarships per year to the Vietnamese applying for M.A in Social Science (Sustainable Development). Please contact RCSD for more information.
Heinrich Böll Foundation
Heinrich Böll Stiftung (HBF) supports 2 – 3 scholarships per year to the candidate from Burma/ Myanmar applying for M.A in Social Science.

The Consortium of Development Studies in Southeast Asia (CDSSEA) awards scholarships to candidates from Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand who would like to pursue a Master’s degree in development studies in Thailand. Under the CDSSEA scholarship Program, applicants can choose to study on one of three leading development programs, namely: the Master of Arts in International Development Studies (MAIDS) at Chulalongkorn University, the Master of Arts in Social Science (Sustainable Development) (MASS) at Chiang Mai University or the Master of Science in Gender and
Development Studies (MGDS) at the Asian Institute of Technology.
